A joyful Mid-Century statement, this Silver signet ring showcases a charming Shibayama carved Mother-of-Pearl bug poised on a pale blue crackle-effect ground. The rectangular plaque and tapering shank give bold, sculptural presence, while the soft iridescence of the shell brings a delicate glow to the design.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring tapers from 13.5mm wide at the front to 3.5mm wide at the back.
Bug is 7.5mm long x 2.5mm wide.

EXCELLENT: The carved Mother-of-Pearl inlay is crisp and intact with no chips or losses observed, displaying lovely natural iridescence. The Silver shows light surface scratches and minor polishing marks in keeping with age, with gentle tarnish in recesses adding subtle depth. The shank is solid and well-shaped with no obvious resizing seams or repairs noted; fine hairline crazing to the pale ground is minor and stable.
