A luminous Victorian treasure in 15ct Gold, this dainty ring presents a slender row of Antique Persian Turquoise cabochons, their bright robin’s‑egg blues held in scalloped settings with delicate granule edging. The gallery is finely pierced for lightness, while the shoulders are richly chased with foliate scrolls for a refined, ornamental finish.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring tapers from 6mm wude at the front to 2.5mm wide at the back.
Turquoise cabochons graduate from 3mm to 4mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 2g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, Antique Persian Turquoise.

HALLMARKS: 15, .625, Birmingham Anchor Assay Mark, date letter “T” for 1868, Maker’s Mark J.A.

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT: Turquoise cabochons are securely set and present clean, bright domes with only minor natural matrix and light age-consistent surface wear. The 15ct Gold mount is crisp with neatly preserved chased shoulders, showing gentle patina and fine surface marks commensurate with age. A couple of small claws are missing from the settings, but the gemstones remain secure. No evidence of later resizing or repair observed; well cared for throughout its lifetime.
