Cherry-red flashes appear among the deeper wine-coloured facets of these Victorian Garnet earrings. Each pear-shaped stone has a Rose-Cut surface and a foiled backing, with a narrow 9ct Gold setting following its pointed top and rounded base. Tiny claws punctuate the edge, giving the dark red drops a delicate golden outline.

A small Gold bead finishes the bottom of each drop, echoed by another bead at the base of the hook above. Little connecting rings separate the stones from their fittings, adding a short articulated section between the two. The closed Gold backs are plain, leaving the rich colour and intersecting facets to provide the decoration on the front.

Garnets measure 11mm long x 7mm wide, weighing approx. 4.06ct.
WEIGHT: 4g (pair).

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Foiled Garnet (4.06ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: Both drops retain their defined pear-shaped outlines and distinct Rose-Cut facets. Fine surface scratches are visible on the plain Gold reverse, with small marks on the hooks and connecting rings. The little Gold beads remain clearly rounded above and below the stones.
