Elegant and evocative of a bygone age, this Edwardian Sterling Silver fitted jewellery case is a charming piece by Michael Emanuel of Southampton, hallmarked in Birmingham for 1911. The scalloped lid and softly contoured edges glow with a gentle patina, opening to reveal a gilt‑washed inner lid, pleated Silk cushion and a plush Velvet surround in a rich, regal hue. It’s a beautifully made presentation case with the tactile weight and craftsmanship collectors adore.

Zustand

VERY GOOD: The Silverwork is in very good condition with a light, even patina and minor surface wear commensurate with age. The box closes, with one side of the lid sitting slightly raised when shut. The interior Silk shows wear and fraying from age and use; no obvious repairs.
