Fresh green Peridots and softly glowing Pearls make a delightful pairing in this Edwardian pendant. A larger Peridot sits at the heart of the design, surrounded by four smaller green gems and four Pearls, all held within a fine lattice of 9ct Gold. Curving lines sweep out towards little flared leaf-like details around the circular border, giving the openwork a lovely floral flourish.

An oval Peridot hangs beneath the frame, adding a bright finishing touch and a little movement as you wear it. The open spaces let the intricate Gold work show clearly against the neckline, while the warm metal brings out the gemstones’ yellow-green glow. Such a pretty piece to wear with an open collar or a simple dress, where that graceful outline can be fully enjoyed.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 44mm long including bail
Central Peridot measures 5mm in diameter.
Four surrounding Peridots measure 3.5mm in diameter.
Oval Peridot drop measures 6mm long x 4mm wide.
Total Peridot weight is approximately 1.21ct
Pearls measure 2.5mm in diameter
WEIGHT: 1.7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Peridot (1.21ct), Pearl.

STAMPS: 9CT on the reverse of the bail.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: The Peridots retain a bright green colour and the Pearls have a soft lustre. Fine surface wear and small areas of patina are visible on the Gold, with inclusions visible within the Peridots. The delicate lattice, curved borders and flared details remain clearly defined.
