A lyrical jewel from the Austro-Hungarian era, this articulated Silver necklace is set with richly hued Green Chrysophrase cabochons accented by delicate creamy Pearls. Ornate openwork panels with fine granulation and rope‑twist borders lead the eye to a central oval, creating a harmonious garland of texture and colour.

The workmanship is delightfully decorative yet refined, with bezel‑set cabochons and softly domed profiles that glow against the cool sheen of Silver. MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 22" (56cm) long.
Round Chrysophrase graduate from 2mm to 3mm in diameter.
Oval Chrysophrase measures 5mm long x 7.5mm wide.
Chain is 1.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 10.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver, Green Chrysophrase, Pearl.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD: The Green Chrysophrase cabochons are smooth and lustrous with only light surface wear visible on close inspection, and the Pearls are present and neatly set. The Silver shows gentle age-related patina and minor wear to the high points, with all articulated links and the bolt-ring clasp secure. A well-cared-for antique, ready to wear and enjoy.
