A charming Victorian oval locket in 9ct Gold back and front, its raised polished border framing a beautifully detailed central panel of foliate and ribbon engraving. A reserved cartouche rests at the heart of the design, ready for a discreet initial should you wish.

Inside, the hinged locket opens to reveal two recessed trays for cherished photographs or mementos. The engraving is ornate yet delicate, with gentle patina sitting in the recesses to accentuate every flourish—an elegant keepsake with timeless sentiment.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT: Crisp engravings with light surface wear and fine hairline scratches commensurate with age. Hinge and jump ring are intact; the locket does not close with a click but stays securely shut. Gentle patina within the engraved recesses enhances the detail, with typical age-related wear to the interior trays.
