Three sharply outlined stars decorate the broad face of this 18ct Gold gypsy ring, with a Diamond at the centre and a pink-red Ruby on either side. The pointed cuts around each stone catch little flashes of light, extending the sparkle into the surrounding Gold. The larger central star gives the otherwise evenly spaced arrangement a clear focal point.

The stones sit within the gently rounded band rather than in a raised gallery, giving the ring a pleasingly continuous profile. Plain shoulders narrow towards the back of the shank, while three circular openings beneath the stones reveal their undersides. It is an uncomplicated form with its detail concentrated in those bright, crisply drawn stars.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring tapers from 6mm wide at the front to 3mm wide at the back.
Rubies measure 2mm in diameter.
Diamond measures approx. 2.5mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 3.3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Ruby, Diamond.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Zustand

VERY GOOD: The star-settings remain clearly defined around all three stones. Surface scratches are visible on the Gold, both around the settings and inside the band. A previous resize is visible at the back of the shank; the stamps were lost during that alteration.
