Softly glowing Moonstone surrounded by black and Gold, with flowers and curling leaves reaching right to the edges. This Georgian pendant is full of beautiful contrasts! Its elongated sugarloaf Moonstone sits within a sparkling border of faceted French Jet, while delicate Gold ornament sweeps across the glossy black Enamel.

The shaped outline follows the scrollwork, giving the whole pendant a wonderfully ornate silhouette. On the reverse, an inscription dated 1825 carries the words “Not lost” and “But gone before”, a moving detail to discover behind such a decorative front. The pale Moonstone and rich floral frame make a captivating focal point worn at the neckline.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, with black Enamel and French Jet (black glass).

GEMSTONES: One sugarloaf Moonstone, approximately 2.50ct.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT/VERY GOOD: This Georgian pendant is in excellent condition, particularly considering its age, with beautiful decorative detail to enjoy. Small chip to one of the jets at the bottom of the pendant, only noticable under close inspection.
