Sumptuous and sculptural, this Victorian Holbeinesque brooch pendant is a masterclass in Renaissance Revival opulence. A magnificent domed Garnet cabochon of approximately 32.00cts sits proudly at the centre, its deep wine-red glow framed by ornate openwork in rich 18ct Gold. Polychrome enamel in luscious translucent red and crisp white is accented with tiny touches of green, while eight petite Diamonds add scintillating points of light.

Convertible and wonderfully wearable, it can be worn as a pendant via the jump ring or fastened as a brooch for high-impact styling. The lavish palette and lavish detailing encapsulate the mid-19th century taste for bold colour, bold gems and jewel-like enamelling—an elegant statement with unmistakable Victorian grandeur.

MEASUREMENTS: Brooch pendant is 33mm long including jump ring.
Brooch pendant is 30mm wide.
Garnet measures 22mm long x 19mm wide, weighing approximately 32.00ct.
8 x Diamonds measure approx. 1mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 20.2g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Garnet (32.00ct), Diamond, Enamel.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: The Garnet cabochon is free of chips with a beautifully glossy surface. Enamel is superb with almost no losses and vibrant colour throughout.
